Recent EVENTS
February 12, 2010 - My Name is Khan, a film on which Syd Field worked as script consultant and is being distributed by Fox Searchlight in the United States, premieres in select theaters. Story and screenplay were written by Shibani Bathija. The film was produced by Hiroo Yash Johar & Gauri Khan and directed by Karan Johar. Click here to watch the film's trailer.

May 12-13, 2007 - Syd Field teaches his two-day "The Foundations of Screenwriting" in London in association with The Screenwriters Store.
January 2007 - Syd Field leads two workshops in Mumbai, India.
October 31, 2006 - Newly revised and updated, The Screenwriter's Workbook arrives in bookstores.
October 22, 2006 - Syd Field starts production, as co-producer and host, of an online webcast called "Screenplay with Syd Field," focusing on the art and the craft of the Hollywood screenwriter. His first guest will be Michael Arndt of Little Miss Sunshine, then Stuart Beattie of Collateral, and then Richard Linklater and Eric Schlosser who wrote Fast Food Nation. The series will be shot at the Writer's Guild of America, west, headquarters, in the new Webb-Shavelson Library. Stay tuned for details on viewing these podcasts!
October 26, 2006 - Syd Field is being awarded the Final Draft Hall of Fame Award at Montmartre Lounge Hollywood.
July 2006 - Syd Field gives a screenwriting workshop for the Polish Film Institute in Warsaw.
June 20, 2006 - Syd Field presents his "Problem Solving" workshop in Madrid, Spain, through Fundation Auteur.
June 17-18, 2006 - Syd Field teaches his two-day "Master Class" in Barcelona, Spain, through Fundation Auteur.
May 18, 2006 - Syd Field presents a one-day workshop for the scientists of JPL and NASA in Washington DC.
April 29-30, 2006 - Syd Field takes part in Screenwriter's Summit at the DGA on 57th Street in New York City. Also scheduled to appear are Linda Seger, John Truby, Michael Hauge and Robert Kosberg.
March 20 - April 5, 2006 - Syd Field speaks at a writing workshop in Kiev, Ukraine, sponsored by the Ukrainian Government.
December 1, 2005 - The new revised edition of Screenplay, along with reissues of Selling A Screenplay and Going To The Movies, arrived in bookstores across the country.
December 1, 2005 - Syd Field celebrated the release of his book with a book-signing at Dutton's Beverly Hills Books.

August 1-5, 2005 - Syd Field conducts courses for Catalyst Workshop 2005, a five-day intensive designed to teach storytelling and screenwriting to scientists. This workshop is being coordinated by the American Film Institute.
